Doha Bank, LuLu celebrate shopping credit card success



 
Officials have announced that the LuLu Doha Bank credit card will be free for life to all customers whose cards are issued between now and the end of the year.
 
Doha Bank and LuLu recently celebrated the first anniversary of the launch of the card, the first of its kind in Qatar which offers 5% savings year-round.
 
Representatives from both companies celebrated the anniversary of the card’s launch, cutting a commemorative cake to mark the occasion.
 
Doha Bank CEO R Seetharaman commented: “This is undoubtedly the most rewarding shopping credit card in town, and customers have enjoyed unbeatable value since June 2011 across all Lulu outlets.  What’s more, purchases outside LuLu also enable card members to save 1%, thus making shopping a more rewarding experience.”
 
“Doha Bank is extremely proud and privileged to partner with LuLu to reward our mutual credit cardholders with savings and benefits all year round,” he added.
 
Regional director of LuLu Hypermarket, Mohamed Althaf said: “This unique credit card of ours guarantees customers a 5% savings each time they shop at LuLu.  We are delighted to partner with Doha Bank for the mutual benefit of our customers and look forward to working with Doha Bank to come up with more exciting offers in the very near future.”
 
Both Doha Bank and LuLu Hypermarkets will continue to collaborate to add more benefits and deliver surprises and offers on an ongoing basis to their co-branded cardholders throughout the rest of the year, explained a spokesperson, adding that one of these benefits includes a priority checkout counter for cardholders at all LuLu outlets.
 
The spokesperson explained that all LuLu Doha Bank Titanium Mastercard holders who used their credit card for purchases in Qatar and abroad since April 1 and June 30 were entered in a draw for prizes of $10,000 and 30 iPads.  Shailesh Wattamwar and Harshadkumars Chauhan were presented with their iPads at the anniversary event by head of retail banking, Suresh Bajpai and executive manager of retail banking, Nabil Tabbara.
